Kids in Dorset will be banned from heading footballs in training as the Government introduces new legislation across the UK.

The new rules came into effect in February this year due to the link between heading a football and neurodegenerative diseases.

The ban will impact children up until the age at which they leave primary school and new research suggesting that former footballers are 3.5 times more likely to develop neurodegenerative diseases in later life.

Sports therapist Josh Stepien explains the health implications repeatedly heading a ball can do to adolescents, but also admits implementation could be a struggle.
